RIMMEL LONDON PROVOCALIPS

There are sooooo many long-wear or infalliable lip products on the market at the moment... some are fabulous while some are.... lets just say not so fabulous. I am certainly quite the fan of a good long-wear lippy, so when Rimmel London's new Provocalips arrived on my desk I was eager to try them - especially as it was in the lead up to Christmas,  what better time to test these little tubes of colour out.

So when you have taken the time to doll up in the mornings (or evenings for that matter) you want to know your  make up is going to last, especially your lips.  Right?  Yep. Me too.

As I mentioned above there are not that many "long-wear" lip products on the market that I LOVE.  A lot of that has to do with the fact they tend to feel, well, horrible on my lips.

I was pleasantly surprised when I tried PROVOCALIPS. The product itself glided on my lips so smoothly and easily, you can feel the texture setting on the lips but its not uncomfortable. PROVOCALIPS promises 16 hours of long lasting staying power.  And long lasting it is.  The collection itself includes 8 very wearable shades, each coming double ended one half colour / one half lock and shine. Personally I prefer to wear them matte... however if you want a little shine it is but a twist away.

The colour I most loved out of all the shades was called  'I'LL CALL YOU" a stunning deep wine vintage red. The lasting power was impressive also - it did not move at all and I was not at all disappointed with the colour pay off.

Now. When it comes to removing it from my lips I used an oil based make up remover as this is what will break down the product and clean your lips the quickest - your average everyday make up remover is just not as effective.

Not too shabby for a "high street" brand me thinks. Absolutely worth a try.

Tip - Before you go slapping on any long-wear lip product please take a couple of minutes in the shower to prepare and exfoliate your lips. The best way to do this is by using a soft toothbrush with a very small amount of lip scrub (or a small amount of toothpaste), and work the brush in soft circular motions over your lips to remove any dry skin.

PROVOCALIPS is available anywhere that you can find Rimmel London. If you are in Australia they are half price at Chemist Warehouse at the moment - score!!!

Has anyone else tried them? Let me know if you have an what you thought.

TWENTY FIFTEEN...

I can't believe it... It's now 2015, already! Like a lot of you I'm sure I'm not the only one to say it felt like 2014 went far too quick and if I'm being totally honest I certainly did not accomplish all of what I set out to at the beginning of last year - Sigh...

So, for me 2015 is going to be about setting out clear goals for myself, from the very smallest to the very biggest   - and slowly but surely achieving them one by one, day by day... Of course 99 per cent of all my goals have something to do with make-up.

So how about you? What goals have you set for yourselves for this year?

Here's to a fabulous year filled with lots of love, laughter and make-up!!!
