LOVE LOVE LOVE: BLUE NAIL POLISH

HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY ALL!!!

Loving the perk of Australia Day... that's right, its a national holiday and who doesn't love a day off?

On the cover of the latest episode of  GRAZIA (one of my fav weekly reads) there is a stunning image of Victoria's Secret model and fellow "Aussie" Miranda Kerr dressed as a chic modern day Wonder Woman holding the Australian flag. 

The vibrant blue of the flag and OMG those divine Tony Bianco "Tuscan" pumps totally got me inspired...  to paint my nails BLUE.. Yes just the sight of a beautiful colour is enough for me to want to paint my nails, though lets be honest I never really need an excuse.

So I thought it was a great opportunity to test out "Listen To Your Momager" one of the new Kardashian Kollection nail polishes from Nicole By O.P.I.

A lil' sparkle with alot-o-shine LOVE LOVE LOVE.

FRAGRANCE OF THE WEEK

JUICY COUTURE - VIVA LA JUICY

For the past week I have found myself reaching for the same perfume each and every day.. and so "FRAGRANCE OF THE WEEK" was born.

Although I am not one for sweet scents, this particular one has really caught me by surprise. It is not too sickly sweet nor is it too heavy, yet the fragrance lingers the whole day.
The main notes I pick up on is a mixture of wild berries, jasmine a little sandalwood and vanilla. I feel like VIVA LA JUICY is just one of those fragrances that really lifts your spirit no matter what mood you are in.

I can't lie, the packaging was a definite selling point (I am a marketers dream) I adore the bottle..

The "little princess" in me just could not resist the crystal like lid and the oh so pretty bright pink bow.

I also thought the bottle was the right "POP" of bright my fragrance tray was after.

LOVE LOVE LOVE: M.A.C VIVA GLAM

Back in the day when I worked at M.A.C I loved (and still love) 3 things about M.A.C's VIVA GLAM charity initiative:

1. The 3 shades of lipstick you could choose from (we are talking old school, before other VIVA GLAM LIPSTICK colours and GLOSS' launched)

2. The fact that every single cent made from the sale of VIVA GLAM lipsticks went to and supported (as it still does to this day) "Men, Women & Children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS globally"(1).

3. The amazing images that were created for each VIVA GLAM launch. One in particular that I will always remember, as posted below that I found searching the net:



This image in particular stands out as it was the first launch of a NEW VIVA GLAM colour (IV) I experienced as a "newbie" on the M.A.C counter.

I thought the image was so chic... I mean Mary J Bligh, Shirley Manson and the great Elton John. I would find myself just staring at the large light box filled poster on a daily basis admiring how flawless Shirley and Mary J's make up was.

Anyway enough reminiscing from me.

LOVE LOVE LOVE: THE BEAUTY OF A NEW YEAR

So it has officially been 1 year and 1 day since I last posted. I have no excuses, well no good one's anyway. I had been telling myself that it could not possibly have been that long (that is until a certain "LADY FABLE" bought it to my attention)between posts...

This is my year to get back to my creative side, it has been missing for quite some time.

I have been so inspired of late and my love affair with MAKE-UP & BEAUTY is still as strong as ever... so why not share?
